I haven’t heard of this movie before seeing the trailer today, and I’m quite hooked now! I’m totally thrilled by this kind of movies. It kind of feels like Richard Kelly’s Donnie Darko and Steven Soderbergh’s Solaris, but the whole thing boosted with the music of Angels & Airwaves.

Summary: Mr. Popper’s Penguins was a novel,a children’s book, written back in 1938. Most of you wouldn’t know that, because you don’t read to your kids, you put a TV in their room so you don’t have to put in too big an effort on a nightly basis.
In the novel, Mr.Popper inherits 12 Penguins, so the writers figured we couldn’t handle that sort of craziness and cut it down to 6 Penguins. Then again, you have to realize that the guy responsible for making this a movie from the novel is Sean Anders, the putz who wrote Hot Tub Time Machine… so … that explains a little bit.
The story goes like this : The life of a Mr. Popper begins to change after he inherits six penguins, and has to transform his apartment into a winter wonderland. As a result of his newly inherited family his professional side starts to unravel, as life takes a few unusual twists.
Funny right? Jim Carrey thrown into a really unusual unexpected, life altering situation is really a twist! Notice my sarcasm there? This happens to Jim in almost all his movies, so Mr Popper’s Penguins really isn’t going to be much of a stretch for him.

Summary:The story is told as a series of memories by Jacob Jankowski,a ninety-three year-old man who lives in a nursing home.
As the memories begin,Jacob Jankowski is twenty-three years old and preparing for his final exams as a Cornell University veterinary student when he receives the news that his parents were killed in a car accident.Jacob’s father was a veterinarian and Jacob had planned to join his practice.When Jacob learns that his father was deeply in debt because he had been treating animals for free as well as mortgaging the family home to provide Jacob an Ivy League education,he has a breakdown and leaves school just short of graduation.In the dark of night,he jumps on a train only to learn it is a circus train.When the owner of the circus,Uncle Al,learns of his training as a vet,he is hired to care for the circus animals.This consequently leads Jacob to share quarters with a dwarf named Walter (who is known as Kinko to the circus) and his dog Queenie.A few weeks later Jacob is summoned to take a look at Camel,an old man who, after drinking Jamaican ginger extract for many years,can't move his arms or legs. Fearing Camel will be redlighted (thrown off the train while moving) Jacob hides him in his and Walter's room.
The head trainer,August,is a brutal man who abuses the animals in his care (such as the new elephant Rosie) as well as the people around him. Alternately,he can be utterly charming.Jacob develops a guarded relationship with August and his wife,Marlena,with whom Jacob falls in love.August is suspicious of their relationship and beats Marlena and Jacob. Marlena subsequently leaves August and stays at a hotel while she's not performing.Uncle Al then informs Jacob that August is a paranoid schizophrenic and then gives him a threat:reunite August and Marlena as a happily married couple or Walter and Camel get redlighted. (Redlighting refers to throwing circus workers off the moving train as punishment or in order to avoid paying them[2])
A few days later after discovering that August has tried to see Marlena,Jacob visits her in her hotel room. Soon after comforting her however,Jacob and Marlena sleep together and then eventually declare their love for each other.Marlena soon returns to the circus to perform (and also to have secret meetings with Jacob),but refuses to have August near her,which makes Uncle Al extremely mad. Days later Marlena informs Jacob that she is pregnant.
One night Jacob climbs up and jumps each car,while the train is moving,to August's room,carrying a knife between his teeth intending to kill August.However,Jacob backs out and returns to his car,only to find no one there but Queenie. He then realises that Walter and Camel were redlighted and Jacob himself was supposed to be too.
As the story climaxes,several circus workers who were redlighted off the train come back and release the animals causing a stampede during the performance.
In the ensuing panic,August is killed by Rosie the elephant,and the only one who sees the incident is Jacob. As a result of this incident,which occurred during a circus performance,the circus is shut down.Soon after,Uncle Al's body is found with a makeshift garrote around his neck. Marlena and Jacob leave,along with several circus animals (Rosie, Queenie and others),and begin their life together.
Ninety-three year old Jacob is waiting for his family to take him to the circus.It is uncovered that Jacob and Marlena married and had 5 children spending the first 7 years at another circus before Jacob gets a job as a vet for the zoo.After finding out no one is coming for him,elderly Jacob goes to the circus on his own.He soon meets the manager Charlie and begs him to accompany the circus by selling tickets.Charlie agrees and Jacob believes he has finally come home.

Summary:In the distant past,a race known as the Forerunners controlled the galaxy.The Forerunners used their advanced technology to protect life, but were caught off-guard by an alien parasite known as the Flood. The Flood, which spread through infestation of sentient life,threatened and overran many worlds in the galaxy before the Forerunners could attempt to contain the threat.A group of Forerunners conceived a final solution—using an installation known as the Ark, they built seven large ring-shaped megastructures known as Halos. The Halo Array,when activated, would destroy all sentient life in the galaxy—depriving the Flood of their food.Delaying as long as they could, the Forerunners finally activated the rings and disappeared.
Tens of thousands of years later in the 26th century,humanity—under the auspices of the United Nations Space Command or UNSC—colonize many worlds thanks to the development of faster-than-light"slipstream"travel. Tensions escalate between the older and more stable"Inner Colonies"and the remote "Outer Colonies",leading to civil war.The UNSC creates an elite group of enhanced supersoldiers,known as Spartans,to suppress the rebellion covertly.[11] In the year 2525 the human colony of Harvest falls under attack by a theocratic alliance of alien races known as the Covenant.The Covenant leadership declares humanity an affront to their gods—the Forerunners—and begins to methodically exterminate human worlds. The Covenant's superior technology and numbers prove decisive advantages;though effective, the Spartans are too few in number to turn the tide of battle in humanity's favor.
In 2552, the Covenant arrive at Reach,the UNSC's last major stronghold,and launch an invasion of the planet.The last Spartans and UNSC military are unable to stop the Covenant from bombarding the surface with plasma.Following directives to avoid leading the Covenant to Earth,the artificial intelligence (AI) Cortana aboard the fleeing UNSC ship Pillar of Autumn selects coordinates that lead the ship to a Halo installation. The Covenant follow, damaging the Autumn and leading its crew to take the fight to the ring's surface.The Covenant accidentally release Flood imprisoned on the ring; in order to nullify the threat,the ring's AI caretaker,343 Guilty Spark, enlists the human soldier Master Chief's help. Before the pair can activate Halo's defenses,however, Cortana reveals that Halo's activation would mean their own destruction.Master Chief and Cortana instead detonate the Autumn's engines,destroying Halo and preventing the escape of the Flood.They and a few other human survivors return to Earth,warning of an impending Covenant attack.
Soon after,a Covenant fleet arrives at Earth.Most of the fleet is destroyed,but a single ship under the command of one of the Covenant's oligarchs,the Prophet of Regret,breaks through the human defenses and invades the African city of New Mombasa. Before the humans can assault Regret's carrier,he retreats through a slipspace portal,pursued by the Master Chief aboard the human ship In Amber Clad. Regret travels to another Halo installation,where the Master Chief kills Regret.Inner turmoil in the Covenant leads to civil war between the various member races.Learning that the activation of the Halo Array (a central tenet of the Covenant religion) would lead to their extinction,the Covenant warrior Arbiter and his brethren ally with humanity to stop the rings from being fired. The aborted activation of the ring puts all the Halo installations on standby:the remaining rings can be activated remotely from a location known as"The Ark".
The Covenant begin a full-scale invasion of Earth and excavate a Forerunner artifact in the African desert that creates a slipspace portal to the Ark.The Master Chief and Arbiter travel through the portal to kill the last High Prophet,Truth,and discover the installation is building a new Halo ring to replace the one destroyed previously.In order to destroy the spreading infestation led by the Flood intelligence Gravemind,the Master Chief activates the incomplete ring—as the Ark lies outside the Milky Way Galaxy,the blast destroys the Flood but spares the galaxy at large.Because the ring's construction is incomplete,the resulting pulse destroys the ring and damages the Ark.The Arbiter escapes the explosion,but the Master Chief and Cortana are left drifting in space,trapped in the severed rear half of their ship.The Master Chief cryonically freezes himself as he and Cortana wait for rescue.In the legendary ending,the rear half is seen floating towards an unknown planet.

The second Iron Man movie but it doesn't hinder Paramount from planning a third Iron Man movie. No need to be a soothsayer to foresee that IM2 will a huge success and that the public will be craving for yet another Iron Man movie. So it does make sense to plan Iron Man 3. And it was actually confirmed by Director Jon Favreau himself:

"There’s an Iron Man 3. Here’s how I know. When they make the option deals, they include Iron Man 3. So I know they’re planning on 3. Whether that would be before or after Avengers, they’ve announced that Avengers is next but they pushed back The Avengers once, which I thought was encouraging."

IM2 can of weave its story around the demon in the bottle storyline, with Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, facing the aftermaths of his superhero coming out. So if our hero can overcome his personal problems and the villains from IM2, we can expect his real nemesis to show up in the following movie, namely the evil Mandarin, in Iron Man 3.

Actor Faran Tahir, who played Raza, the mysterious leader of the 10 Rings in the first Iron Man, gave some hints that the Mandarin could indeed be the next villain pitted against Iron Man:

"Jon Favreau and the producers are not stupid. They're also listening in on all of this and wanting to get the pulse of where the audience is. But at some point, they want to introduce Mandarin into the storyline and my character, like Mandarin, was the leader of the Ten Rings. We're leaving it open because, partly, it makes good business sense for us to leave a little bit of uncertainty for people to speculate on.

He has known for a long time where he wants to take it and I don't want to speak for him, but my feeling is that the second movie didn't want to just follow a singular storyline. They wanted to expand the characters to show that it's not a linear saga like Lord of the Rings. There's a linkage somewhere in there, but the big idea is to do at least one more Iron Man movie and then go into The Avengers."

Hulk could be an other option, I think he will rather show up as the villain in the Avengers. So I can see only the Mandarin as a credible villain in the movie Iron Man 3.

Now let's think about a possible release date for Iron Man 3. Thor will hit theaters in May 2011 and The Avengers movie is set for a release in Summer 2012. So unless they rush the development of Iron Man 3 to release it in between, the movie Iron Man 3 is more likely to be in 2013 or later.
But releasing Iron Man 3 after the Avengers would bring some complexity because of the new continuity. If they want to keep it simple it would be better to release Iron Man 3 between Thor and the Avengers....

Summary:The game is played on four grids, two for each player. The grids are typically square – usually 10 × 10 – and the individual squares in the grid are identified by letter and number.[2] On one grid the player arranges ships and records the shots by the opponent. On the other grid the player records his own shots.

Before play begins, each player arranges a number of ships secretly on the grid for that player. Each ship occupies a number of consecutive squares on the grid, arranged either horizontally or vertically. The number of squares for each ship is determined by the type of the ship. The ships cannot overlap (i.e., at most one ship can occupy any given square in the grid). The types and numbers of ships allowed are the same for each player. These may vary depending on the rules.

There are two typical complements of ships, as given in the Milton Bradley version of the rules:
After the ships have been positioned, the game proceeds in a series of rounds. In each round, each player's turn consists of announcing a target square in the opponents' grid which is to be shot at. If a ship occupies the square, then it takes a hit. The player's opponent announces whether or not the shot hit one of his or her ships and then takes a turn. When all of the squares of a ship have been hit, the ship is sunk. After all of one player's ships have been sunk, the game ends and the other player wins.

For the Salvo variation, each player may take as many shots in one turn as he has ships remaining in play. The starting player announces all five shots, then his opponent announces which are hits. Each player has as many shots as he or she has vessels afloat in each turn. Thus each time a player's ship is entirely destroyed, that player has one fewer shot on all subsequent turns. In some versions (e.g. Sierra - Hoyle Board Games) the aircraft carrier has two shots.
