Summary:
20th Century Fox is considering a live-action movie adaptation of Fathom, the comic book series created by the late Michael Turner. The story revolves around a young woman named Aspen who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water (should we call her Aquawoman then?). Actress Megan Fox is attached to the movie Fathom, not only as actress for the lead role as Aspen but also as producer! Screenwriter and video game creator Jordan Mechner is still working on the script. No release date has been announced.

Plot:
"The story revolves around Aspen Matthews, who was found abandoned on a ship and is adopted by a military man. She becomes a champion swimmer and marine biologist who comes of age realizing she has water-based powers and is part of an underwater race.

"That's going to happen even if I have to step away from it and give it to someone else. That movie will happen, just because I love it and it needs to happen."

Actress Megan Fox

I really doubt that Megan Fox would let someone else take over the role. She's been kicked out of Transformers 3 and must be looking for a new vehicle to boost her career. So I'm pretty sure she will be starring in the movie Fathom.

The comic book Witchblade created by Top Cow editors Marc Silvestri and David Wohl, writers Brian Haberlin and Christina Z, and artist Michael Turner is going to be adapted into a movie. It is still at an early stage, but Director Michael Rymer has been announced to helm the Witchblade movie based on a script by Everett De Roche. Unfortunately no idea yet about the cast of Witchblade.

The movie first tentatively scheduled for 2009, but it has since been push back to 2010, but 2011 would sound more credible...

The original comic book series follows the lives of two disparate women in New York City, Sara Pezzini and Danielle Baptiste. Sara is a tough-as-nails NYPD homicide detective who comes into possession of the Witchblade, a supernatural, sentient artifact with immense destructive and protective powers. The weapon has bonded with various women throughout history, Danielle being the most recent. Others who have come into contact with the Witchblade include Cleopatra and Joan of Arc.
Sara struggles to hone the awesome powers of the Witchblade and fend off those with a nefarious interest in it, especially entrepreneur Kenneth Irons. She also struggles to maintain a personal life.

The original series has also been adapted into a TV series, an anime and a manga series.
